Unofficial Kerry McGregor
Kerry is 31 years old, lives in West Lothian and is a single mum.
Kerry is a paraplegic after falling out of a tree and breaking her back when she was 13, requiring her to use a wheelchair and crutches. She won the "Child of Achievement" award in 1988.
Kerry regards her mother as her "backbone" and her father was killed by a drink driver when she was just six. Her mother and grandfather were both singers, with the latter referred to as the Scottish"‘Bing Crosby".
Kerry is no stranger to the limelight. She came second in the Song for Europe competition, with her entry "Yodel In The Canyon Of Love", losing out to Katrina And The Waves. She previously had a record deal and her song "Freedom" charted at number 21.
Kerry has also turned her hand to acting, playing Carol-Ann in "The Book Group", aired on Channel 4 in 2003 and also appeared in a Radio 3 play, "Peeling" which was about disabilities.
